Our principal, Abby, has over 10 years experience in the complex and challenging areas of Family Law, estate planning and deceased estates.
Prior to being admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2011, Abby worked as a law clerk for a sole practitioner with over 30 years experience. Abby was also admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2011. From 2011, Abby worked as an employed solicitor before establishing ALJ Legal in 2018.
Abby also has the benefit of experience in the areas of criminal law (in particular domestic disputes), care and protection and land law (conveyancing). Abby is able to draw upon such experience when dealing with particularly complex Family Law matters. Such experience puts Abby in a unique position, allowing her to provide clients with dynamic, multi-jurisdictional advice that can be invaluable in achieving the best possible outcome in any matter.
Abby is a people person, who prides herself on listening to a client’s story and providing strong advocacy for their particular needs. She is known for being reliable and guiding clients through the legal process in plain terms.
Abby’s passion and practical approach ensures that clients are guided towards their desired outcome as quickly as possible.
Our legal secretary, Brittney, joined the team in 2018 when ALJ Legal was established. Her polite yet professional approach ensures that clients are comfortable from the moment of first engagement with our Company.
Prior to starting with ALJ Legal, Brittney worked in the field of early childhood education for 10 years. Brittney’s caring nature means that she is prepared to go the extra mile for clients.
Brittney is in an integral part of our team. She ensures that lines of communication between our principal lawyer and clients are flowing even when Abby is in Court for extended periods. Brittney is confident and capable and she is an asset to our Company.
